Description of Actual Services Provided by Your Staff:
The WB is implementing a project to improve rural livelihoods and food security in selected soums of 5 western aimags through enhanced productivity, market access and diversification in livestock-based production systems. The Executing Agency of the project is Ministry of Food and Agriculture. The WB’s Development Impact Evaluation Group (DIME) will be conducting a rigorous impact evaluation to assess the potential for the project to improve rural individuals’ well-being.

MEC-MCDS joint survey team has signed the contract with DIME to carry out baseline study for data collection (total 1800 herder households), and delivering quality data according to the expectations and protocols, within a timeframe defined by DIME.

The data collection activities will take place in 30 soums of Arkhangai, Bayankhongor, Gobi-Altai, Khuvsgul and Zavkhan aimags.

The following activities are expected to be completed by the team:

1. Obtaining necessary permits of clearance for the survey;
2. Translation & Pilot of all questionnaires;
3. Develop the detailed field procedure plan;
4. Recruitment, training, and contracting of experienced field staff;
5. Development electronic survey software;
6. Implementation of data collection;
7. Data entry protocol & Data delivery protocol;
